Wait a minute, this is a little bit awkward…

First the definition of Renewable energy from wikipedia:

is generally defined as energy that comes from resources which are continually replenished on a human timescale such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat.

Consequently we use renewable energy because…

Carbon-neutral fuels (including methane, gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel or ammonia) are considered carbon-neutral because they do not result in a net increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases.

… and we want to reduce the greenhouse gases. Thus we want a better environment,  which means we are nature friendly… Ops now I am confused.
